Lo.max from Giessen/Germany (now living in Berlin) was 17 years old when he started making music with a german hiphop project which he produced. He got bored pretty fast and after found himself spending some years as a bass player in an emo-punk band he finally found his forte and started producing electronical music. Learning the basics from his flat mate Lo.max began to use his friend's machines on his own and began to form the foundations of his production techniques. In 2001 He met Cora-S of mental industries/possible music/berlin and she decided to release his first ep called shifted_ep on mental ind. (mir 003.1) which came out in february 2002. Part of the “errorism” organisation based in Giessen/Germany around the Quadrat club (R.I.P.) Lo.max had a release on Ibrahim Alfa's semi Automatic record label, and afterwards took some time to strengthen his live-performance through playing a lot of gigs in several locations around Europe like the Neue Heimat/Stuttgart, Papierfabrik/Rodersdorf, Unikum/Erfurt, Kaimaan/Antwerp, Detali Zvuku/Kiev. His most actual releases are one track on the Antikonsum 003 (Antikonsum/Berlin) and a split ep shared with his brother Steph on Feinwerk/Giessen, called "brothers in arms - ep". In 2008 the track "Befreiungsschlag" was released on Bombtrap records. Lo.max's live act is known for its rocking style and its richness of variation!
As final work for his studies in Media Production in 2007 he produced an electronica album, combining his roots and influences. It's called "in pieces", and is available as a free download over the "errorism" netlabel, here on last.fm.
