Biography

Lincoln Jesser isn’t your stereotypical 21 year old. Born in La Quinta, CA (a five minute drive from The Empire Polo Fields, home of the world renowned Coachella Music Festival), the young singer and producer grew up idolizing artists like The Strokes (and their associated side projects), Daft Punk, and The Killers, and began aspiring to achieve their levels of artistry himself. In his own words, “my music aims to conjure up those feelings of simultaneous melancholy and immense joy/passion that music stirs up in me.” After spending high school as the lead vocalist/guitar player of the cult indie-rock band Technicolor Wolves (while earning his stripes as an electronic music producer in his spare time), Lincoln turned down an acceptance to Yale University, instead moving to Los Angeles to study Music Industry at USC, where he quickly connected with pop music talent powerhouse Indie Pop, home to acts such as Dev, The Cataracs, and Yuna, after CEO Ben Willis came to his dorm room to listen to his beats during his freshman year. With the support of Indie Pop, Lincoln is releasing his official debut artist project, New Blood EP, out on iTunes now, and music video, along with consistently putting out pop-flavored electro tunes under the moniker Pace (his official remix of Martin Solveig’s “Hello” is available for sale on Beatport) and producing for other artists. Lincoln claims that his artist project sounds “like if Daft Punk and The Strokes had a baby, and Drake adopted and raised him…which would be weird but whatever.” One must make this judgement for ones’ self, but definitely be on the lookout for Lincoln’s electronic yet symphonic brand of feel-good, off-color indie pop to make lots of different waves in 2012.
