this time i saw murder by death at the living room with bill. it was a pretty decent concert.
the first band was It Was The Best Of Times and they sucked preeetty bad. yeah, they were really unoriginal and boring. and the lead singer tried to rock out but failed horribly. also, whoring yourself to the crowd of 30 people to get home cause your tour car broke down? i don't think so.
the second band was Aberdeen City and they were better than the first band, that's for sure. but they weren't that great. a lot of their songs sounded the same. bill thought that one of the guys looked like a pharmacist (the Ted Leo kind) or maybe someone from Spoon, but I didn't really know. oh well.
the last band that 'opened' was really just one guy, Langhorne Slim, and he was definitely the best of the three. he wasn't incredibly unique, but I liked his songs and his music a lot. so the concert only got better as time went on. but if i had to choose any of the three, i would pick him. …
