In 1984, a group of friends from the Bastian and Lucciana areas decide to form a band and go on stage to sing the fight of their people and that of all oppressed people.
They take their name from the Arcusgi, a guerilla army from the 17th century led by Pascal Paoli to defend the island against the French invasion and for Corsican independence.
