Kyneska was formed in 2011 from the members of Emerald Sky.
The girls have previously supported Wishbone Ash, Girlschool, Glamour of the Kill, The Hamsters and played at Festivals including Cambridge Rock Festival, Fordham Festival, Gosport Festival, Mychoone Festival, Tog Fest, SunFest, Stotfold Festival, Needingworth, Fen Fest, Dom Fest and the Fahrenheit Festival.
Under their old name they released their second album, Shadows of Darkness under Moonlix Records. The album is available on iTunes, Amazon mp3, eMusic, Shockhound, Napster and Lala. The album was well received in the US, UK and Germany, having had play on US rock stations and been requested for play by EinsLive in Germany.
They have done interviews for stations around the UK including live performances on Sue Marchant's show and Jez Sallis's shows on BBC radio, and interviews for Scottish Radio. Following the release they performed at several festivals and have also supported Glamour of The Kill on selected dates of their UK ‘In For The Kill’ tour and opened shows for the Classic Rock Society and the CRF SpringFest.
In Dec 2011 they announced they would be changing their name to Kyneska, which is a registered trademark. As of Jan 2012 the band is currently mixing tracks for their new album ready for release later in the year.
