CEREMONY is the third studio album by King Gnu under their current monicker. It was released on January 15th 2020, exactly a year since their last album Sympa, and was preceded by the singles 白日 (Hakujitsu), 飛行艇 (Hikoutei), and 傘 (Kasa), all of which helped the band to gain popularity in Japan. The first new song from the album, Teenager Forever, was pre-released a month earlier. The band's new found popularity over the course of 2019 thanks to the aforementioned singles help this album to become their bestselling so far, peaking at #1 on the Oricon Weekly Album Chart and charting every single week in 2020. On the year end physical album chart it ranked at #6 and was certified double platinum in Japan.
