Yeah, I think someone uploaded a invalid format for artwork. That's why it isn't showing up

For the most part, this is such a blatant attempt to replicate the sound and success of the first record; too contrived.

I finally love this album, I'm always thinking 'I wish they'd done more stuff like In the Court', forgetting about this.

A very good album, very mellow mood on most of the tracks. It just pales in comparison with most of their 70s albums.

Not as good as the debut or Red but still a very good album. Pictures Of A City in particular is a great track.

V That's the paradox that haters have to live with. They'll say out of one side of their mouth that the albums are too similar, and then out the other side they'll say that ItCotCK is fucking genius. So by logical extension, they SHOULD feel the same thing toward Poseidon, since they're "so similar." So yeah fuck off and die.

bshit, both Court and Wake are awesome, yeah you might complain about some songs beign close in terms of structure and bla-bla-bla, but I can't understand how one can like one of them and don't like another.

whenever I listen to this album I chuckle to myself at how much of a copy of their debut it is. Then, I want to listen to the debut instead. Seldom do I ever finish this record, it's not bad it's just mildly embarrassing how such a powerhouse of a band couldn't muster a more creative second album.

The "pale copy" argument is a silly one, I think. Just because the structure of the two records is similar doesn't mean they're identical twins or that the second one "rips off" the first. Many great bands and many great records have followed similar patterns from album to album (Is Master of Puppets a "pale copy" of Ride the Lightning?). All that really matters is the quality of the songs and the strength of the playing, and I would argue that while perhaps nothing is as stellar as Schizoid Man, Epitaph or ItCotCK (song) these still show the band at peak power. The Devil's Triangle, the title track, Cat Food, Pictures of a City? Come on, these are really good songs! The various "Peace" segments I could take or leave depending on my mood, but the proper songs all work wonderfully, IMO.

This is actually my favorite Crimson album. I actually prefer the "copies" to their ITCOTCK counterparts.

It may sound good, but it's still a pale copy of the first album ! Regrettable for a band tagged as progressive. Hopefully Crimson will prove their creativity on their following records.
