In New York's downtown clubs - she's the woman who plays with ultra-gifted bassist Dan Green and local mainstay drummer Brad Gunyon - she's got this tough sounding guy on ANOTHER bass - Michael P.
Kilsy decided that she wanted to experiment with a 'No Guitar Sound'. Expressing her interest in early 80's dance music and jazz, she realized that stripping down to a drum and bass format would provide a simplicity in which she could best express herself. When KILSY performs, you hear the sultry vocals, pulsating drumbeats and throbbing bass undertones - leaving you wondering if you are somehow at a Siouxie and The Banshees/ Cocteau Twins double bill with Blondie. They play Knitting Factory, Luna Lounge, Continental, and Arlene's Grocery.
Their compelling combination of sensual rhythms, rumbling bass lines and quick-slap drumbeats weds elements of 80's pop, punk rock coupled with their artistic style both astounds and intoxicates fans and critics alike.
Kilsy. The Past. The Present. The Muse. The Band.
