Numbered Days, self revolution, fixation on darkness, my last serenade, just barely breathing, vida Infra, The element of one. It has nothing to do with nostalgia.I really like DTD but AOJB is a classic album
I'm one of those who actually prefer Howard Jones, but truth be told Jesse returned far better as a vocalist on DTD if compared to his first two records with the band. And honestly, of all records they've made since Jesse came back, DTD is also my favorite.
They are definitely a metalcore version of Slayer. So many years on stage and they didn't record any weak albums. Atonement is awesome from beginning to end. And fuck! The melody in I Can't be the one is as good as if it were taken out of Alive or just breathing.
Sure the new album is nothing new but the songs are kick ass. In fact I feel it's better than the last two. Stand outs after two listens: The Signal Fire, I Am Broken Too, The Crownless King, Bite the Hand That Feeds.
