fun thing about me is that when i was 9 years old (prism era) i was literally obsessed with katy perry, like posters on walls shit, learning english through her music, etc. and it just hit me that next year this will have happened 10 years ago which is just absolutely insane its not clicking its incomprehensible and does not make any sense at all. anyway i felt like revisiting her discography and i'm just struck by the way that time passes, actually, and contemplating what a decade really means. this got way too deep for a katy perry lastfm shout but yeah so cause baby you're a fiiiiirewoooork
she has 2 unreleased albums which are pop rock
1- "(A)" recorded in 2004
2- another album featuring "the matrix " band
in addiction her debut is also pop rock, "one of the boys"
she had a rock song on her second album "teenage dream" : "Circle the Drain"
Just seeing that Taylor is your 4th most scrobbled artist. Now I'm confused. Why do you listen to someone so much when you think she's a woman-hating bully that bullies people into depression and psych wards? I mean if you really think she would do that wouldn't that go strongly against your conscience?
Agree, nothing slaps harder than Katy's debut album. But I'm happy she's making music she still loves, she's grown now as a wife and mother, and I will still stream her music! It may not be the same but they're still bangers in their own way
the smile album is one of my favorite's by her it's not right how underrated it is. it's like as soon as there are a bunch of new artists people like to compare katy to them in a negative way idk, so pathetic. i've always loved katy & her music i used to listen to her so much as a kid, i can't wait for the next album❤
smile was a tragedy and a big disappointment, the lack of concept and creativity made me unstan, it had some songs with potentials but the whole record seems lost, rushed and lazy, it shouldn't have been released tbh
couldn't of liked katy that much in the first place if you're going to turn into a hater overnight just bc you don't like this music as much as her previous stuff. she's always made pop music, what did you expect?
yes but only if they're respectful about it and don't call the album a tragedy and say stuff like it shouldn't have been released. there are plenty of artists i'm not a fan of and don't understand the hype for but i don't bother commenting negative stuff on their page because what's the point?. also, it's not difficult to say an album isn't for you without being so horrible because no artists music is for everyone at the end of the day but as much as you or whoever else dislikes katy's there will be multiple people who do like it a lot because 1: its their style of music & 2: a lot of the songs would've helped them. this project was realased at a time in my life when i was the lowest i ever had been so a lot of the songs helped me and still do.
