Kanade Sato was only eleven years old when she won the 2014 Hit Like A Girl Contest in the category Under 18.
Kanade names Akira Jimbo, Steve Gadd, Dave Weckl, Jeff Porcaro, and Shuichi "Ponta" Murakami as inspirational drummers.
Says Kanade: "I was listening to the sound of drums of playing by my father in my mother's womb. And familiar with music in everyday life, longing to father to play happily and began to drum at the age of three. It was looking forward to playing the drums and father side-by-side two drum sets in the park on weekends. At the age of five, I was asked in kindergarten'What is your dream?', and I answered 'To become a professional drummer!'. And now my dream is to become a professional drummer and play an active part all over the world.
Kanade Sato also won the grand prize of the Roland V-Drums World Championship 2011 Japan Tournament (Junior Division)and placed third during the Akira Jimbo Solo Drum Contest in 2012.
