Biography

Kammer Sieben is the project of Herr Twiggs and Butow Maler, located in Bremen, Germany. The music, although quite difficult to categorize exactly, surely will mostly appeal to the audience. The compositional style varies from soundscapes and rich orchestral arrangements to gently melancholic ballads and "" pieces, both sung in English and in German.

Although K7 started as a duo consisting of Herr Twiggs and Butow Maler back in 2004 Butow left in '08 due to personal inconsistencies shortly after both of them had decided to enlarge the group, so that the three new members (mostly engaged for live concerts etc.), Albrecht Bernard, Torben M. and Andy R., had to leave as well. Butow later concentrated more on his project Seelenlicht.

In 2012 Kammer Sieben reunited.

After having received many positive critics for the song Dismembered Memories, which they had contributed to the "Eisiges Licht 2" compilation, Kammer Sieben released the full-length debut album Unfinished Movies in 2007. Critics named it "a perfect collection of soundtracks composed for never-completed motion pictures, imaginary sequence of images rolling before the eyes of our mind" (Old Europe Cafe) and "definitely a treat for the mindscape of the listener. With so many moods evoked on this album there is no shortage of mental images to carry the listener away." (heathen harvest)
The following year saw the release of the MCD Was Bleibt / Dismembered Memories, some sort of collaboration between K7 and German author Thomas Sabottka, featuring new versions of songs from the debut as well as completely new ones.
The nearly completed second album (the working title was "Blackened Epitaphs"), planned for publishing in '08, wasn't released because of the leaving of Butow Maler. That work should have contained, among others, adaptions of poems by authors such as Goethe, Trakl and Heine. Some songs, however, found their way on the MCD as well as on different compilations.

Kammer Sieben has so far worked together with several artists, like Douglas P. (Death In June), Jay Kokopelli, Micha and BIA (all three from Traum'er Leben), Fabio (All My Faith Lost ...), S. Rukavina (Bleiburg) and SD (Tonfunk).
