KÜENRING formed in December 2010 in Großschönau, Lower Austria.
The band members are:
Stefan Gutenthaler - Bass, Vocals
Florian Gutenthaler - Guitars
Michael Sulzbachner - Guitars
Sebastian Sauer - Drums
The music of KÜENRING is heavily influenced by 80s Heavy Metal acts like IRON MAIDEN, METALLICA, SCORPIONS, JUDAS PRIEST and many more.
On November 18, 2011, KÜENRING released their first demo album called "Death Awaits". They did about 10 gigs in 2011/12 and received some good reviews for their demo from various metal-online-zines. In September 2012 the band parted ways with their drummer, but already started working on their next demo ep the following winter while searching for a new man for the drum kit. In February 2013, the band was completed again with the help of drummer Gerald Pregartner. The first gig with Pregartner was on August 30th, 2013 at "Metal Outbreak", Brunn am Walde, Lower Austria. On October 18th the same year, KÜENRING released the EP "The Nameless Fallen". In the following months they played gigs in Lower- and Upper Austria.
On December 24th, 2014, the band released a cover-version of Brenda Lee's Christmas-classic "Rockin' around the Christmas Tree" via YouTube.
Gerald Pregartner left the band a few months later and was replaced by Sebastian Sauer in May 2015. Sauer played his first gig with the band on November 25th, 2015 at the "Austrian Fish Fest Alliance" at DasBach, Vienna.
On December 24th, 2015 KÜENRING released another christmas song. This time written by themselves, "Santa Cock" was also brought before the public via YouTube.
Throughout 2016 the band played several gigs in Vienna and Burgenland. Also in 2016, KÜENRING entered the studio to record their first full-length album, which was released on December 27th, 2017. KÜENRING played a celebrated gig at Arena Vienna the following day.
