An extraordinary response is usually commonplace when encountering the dynamic talents of singer/songwriter, actor, and producer Jáven. Growing up as the son of a preacher, Jáven knows what it means to be affected by another's ability to communicate. Whether through song or the spoken word, it becomes quickly evident to those who are affected by his performances. Brazil, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Europe are some of the international countries where Javen has performed. He has been featured with well-known personalities like Vickie Winans, Kirk Franklin, Jerry Lewis, Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Diane Canon, Reba McIntire, Bill Gaither, Zig Zigler, and others. Now based in LA, Jáven currently balances a busy touring schedule as a solo artist, actor and guest speaker appearing in the largest arenas and concert halls in cities like New York, Las Vegas, Miami, Chicago, and more.
In 2001 Javen founded a youth outreach program called FYI an acronym for Focus on Young Individuals. FYI impacts thousands of young people in the Tampa-bay area through life changing counseling, tutoring, open mic forums, street meetings, and events supporting charities of all kind.

In 2002 Jáven signed a record deal with Crowne/Word Records in Nashville, TN. His first single, Never Give Up on Love soared into the top 10 Christian charts. Prior to releasing his self-titled debut he recorded two powerful worship projects that received favorable responses from many high profile ministries that frequently include his songs in their churches & conferences. In 2003 he released his first independent worship CD Change on his production label JCM. Change was widely received on Gospel radio around the country and through the distribution of Central South and New Day is currently still climbing the charts with thousands of units being sold! In 2004 Javen was nominated for best Male Contemporary Solo Artist of the year at the Southern California GUILD AWARDS. He was also nominated Male–Artist of the year, song of the year, gospel performance of the year at the Caribbean's prestigious MARLIN AWARDS of which he won 2 of the 4 nominations.
Now based in LA, Jáven currently balances his touring schedule as a recording-artist, guest speaker, and actor. From 2002 to 2003 he stared in a reoccurring role as the Rabbi in the popular Off-Broadway musical The Rock and the Rabbi. In 2009, JAVEN released the "Keeping the Faith" CD, which includes both passionate ballads as well as household favorites the hit single, "None Like You," which received award nominations such as Best Contemporary Video from GMC and a Dove Award nomination. This dynamic CD features the talents of Recording Artist Israel Houghton, Gospel Recording Artist Deitrick Haddon, Recording Artist Damita Haddon, and industry favorite, Peter Mokran.
This multi-talented recording artist was once a full-time worship leader at a mega-church for many years. He leveraged his talent while hosting a weekly one-hour radio show drawing over 6 million hits and reaching over 250,000 listeners. He now travels doing over 130 dates per year singing and speaking across the country and around the world in countries like Africa, Indonesia, Europe, Canada, Brazil, the Caribbean, and more.
Near and dear to JAVEN's heart is supporting missions across the world. He is a spokesperson for World Vision, a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide tackling the causes of poverty and injustice; a consistent donor and supporter of Hope for Haiti, an incredible missions program that houses, feeds, educates and trains over 300 children in Haiti; and participates in several domestic mission programs that deal with homelessness, hunger, and poverty in the Los Angeles, CA area.
JAVEN recently launched the Worship in the Now Series, a powerful two-day seminar on music, worship, songwriting, life lessons, and more.
JAVEN will release his long awaited Live DVD/CD Recording entitled "Worship in the Now," produced by Stellar Award Winner, Jonathan Nelson. With this and several new projects in the works that span everything from film to books, this man of many talents has no desire to slow down any time soon. Through his message of both love and hope, JAVEN desires to see lives changed wherever he goes.
