This song is so fun, summer song of 80s <3  -- this is a somewhat erroneous statement. The RN1814 album came out in Sept. of 1989, but "Escapade" as a song didn't hit big as a Billboard #1 hit until March 1990 [the single was released Jan. 18, 1990]. I remember seeing this on heavy rotation on MTV in the spring/summer of 1990, not '89. RN1814 was the best selling album on Billboard in 1990, so it's very much a very early 1990s record -- as most of its chart success, club play and popularity was in the year 1990. [Sorry for being longwinded, it's just not an "'80s song" -- to call it that is somewhat misleading and erroneous given the release of the single and its chart history]
