i cannot say for sure, since i have not tried to play this one myself.. but J rarely ever plays anything other than standard tuning, and the lack of low notes makes me think he's got the capo somewhere around fourth to seventh fret.. im most likely wrong though :)
can't be more surprised with the new album... it just shows J's not one trick pony, he can create that gentle and tender sound just as well as his typical noisy hardrocker style. thats why he is constantly being compared to a great artist such as neil young which is a super compliment he should be proud of
nihilisticrobot, way too mellow? thats what makes it so good.. 'where you been' wouldnt have been as awesome if it hadnt been for 'not the same'
pushing out the same ear killing songs for 40 years? no, this record was excellent..
in fact, even the version without lyrics is excellent.
the music alone is great.
incredible new album, but no surprise from a man that can do no wrong and with so many great artists taking part. J(esus) Mascis? Jesus wished he ripped half as hard as J. only the devil could be responsible for this.
