Luckily I have a broad taste in music so I like their old stuff and I like their new stuff.
There's always an In Flames song that would fit in, no matter the situation/mental state I am in.
Simply a great band if we just forget about their Clayman re-recorded...
I remember seeing In Flames on tour with Slayer and Soulfly right before Reroute to Remain came out. It must have been mid-2002. They were debuting tracks from Reroute and I was appalled. WTF is this shit? In Flames goes techno? Are you serious? Little did I know that it would be the last decent In Flames album. Sure, it's not even close to the ones that came before but compared to the horrendous dog shit that came after? It's downright incredible.
It's called musical taste. You like Korn, cool. I like Savatage. For me Korn is utter shit, for you Savatage is shit. Who cares? At least your avatar is Amorphis, it means you have some musical taste. I love them too. Cheers!
Unrecognizable from their once Godly status, one of the pioneers of the Gothenburg sound and practically every other band in the subgenre kicks the shit out of 'em in both consistency and songwriting, wth went wrong? & then they went and ruined the fucking good stuff with that shitty re-recording, urgh.
they would be lucky to have emo kids as fans, they are loyal and surprisingly cry much less than non "emo" people. weird right? just look at every comment here from people crying and look at their libraries. far from emo.........
Unfortunately, since Jesper's departure, In Flames have absolutely lost all their former power and creativity. It's sad that once one of my favorite bands and one of the pillars of metal for me during my youth, now is going through hard times and is doing nonsense, to put it mildly. Although I still love and respect them for their 90s and 00s stuff.
