Hystakmine is a harsh electro band from Portugal that had its beginning in 2007. Originally formed by Hypecrash (Eden Synthetic Corps) and Walter (In), its main goal was to explore a more extreme, powerfull and darker sound in the portuguese electro/industrial scenery.
In 2007 they started recording some tracks, featuring songs like Cyber Sex Killer, I Am the Reaper, Jane Toppan and Sexaholic, that immediately caught the attention and curiosity among the enthusiasts of the electro scene. In August of the same year, they played live for the very first time in a national electro/industrial festival – Elektrocution:Ignite – arranged by IndustrialPT association. The excellent performance and the audience excitement towards their first appearance, led them to other two live performances – Access & Amplify in Lisboa and Hypnotikcircuit in Porto.
In 2008, with the growing acknowledgment of the band, Chainheart (Eden Synthetic Corps) joined the original line up and two more songs were created – Allergy and Winter’s Pulse. In May of the same year, they performed in one more show – Toxikaotic Industrial Night (Leiria) – and again they overcame all the public expectations.
In 2009, they recorded Hedonistic, Thrill, Comfort and Lust. Inspired by the forensic psychology behind the serial killers phenomena, they performed live in the 2nd anniversary of Hypnotikcircuit (Porto) featuring a new aggressive stage look.
Nowadays, they are preparing their first album release by Hellektro Holocaust Records, entitled Hedonistic. Certainly a must have for all the harsh electro enthusiasts! They already have one more performance scheduled, this time at the Elektrocution:Resurrection 2nd edition, coming next August.
