Biography
House Made of Dawn is a Gothic-leaning Industrial EBM band with an aggressive Synth Metal sound. Their 1st album, the self-titled "House Made of Dawn," came about in 2007, in the aftermath of what was at that time, the worst mass shooting to date. The album became the project's attempt to confront the many evils that permeate our culture.
Their 2nd album, "Requiem," is a complete Industrial / Rock liturgy in Latin.
HMoDawn's 3rd release and 1st film score, is titled "REALM." All 17 tracks are from the movie "Dark Realm" starring Ron Fitzgerald. The movie is a wicked mix of Gothic illusions from Fitzgerald's stage show, wrapped into a Horror narrative.
The single "Resist!" was written in 2018 to raise spirits and serve as an anthem for The Resistance. “Midwinter," released in 2019, is a different sort of holiday song. HMoDawn’s single, “Bound,” is a sexy, heavy, dark electro track that makes you want to dance. In early 2021 Alpha and Bliss began a collaboration with NY based Ninth Revival to form the band Grimcrow. "Love You to Death" also came about as a result of that ongoing collaboration.
"All Hallows" is House Made of Dawn's 4th album. Released in the fall of 2021, "All Hallows" is a celebration of Halloween and the Fall season. The single, “Mari Lwyd,” followed with a Gothic take on the Welsh winter tradition of the same name. HMoDawn's latest release is the self-explanatory "Whiskey Makes it Better." The group is based in Los Angeles. House Made of Dawn takes their name from the Navajo prayer, "Song of Dawn Boy."
