"Wishing to be there" is the first english language track from Horizonte Lied,
the idea was to do the rework of an old song named "Deseando estar ahi" from 1994, but suddenly the band decided to experiment changing the original lyrics to an updated version in english, the first result of this was done in late 2005 but was never released officially, (we actually played a couple of times a live version of this song back in 2006).
This is an updated version of the song, the mixing and mastering is a lot more polished and updated with a lot more dedication and quality time put into it like with the vocals/lyrics that were re-recorded and updated in general.
This release in general has a more polished and updated version of the track, it is of course produced as a dance track, so we hope it will be enjoyed at the dance floor!
The track was mastered by the two time Grammy Award winner Audio Engineer Andres Mayo (who has done work for Soda Stereo, Seal, Caifanes and several other recognized artists).
The song is a tribute to the feelings you encounter in an unexpected situation, in unusual scenarios, when you find that special someone and the adventure that develops trying to take the roads though glances and finally meet that person,
all this is of course seen through a nostalgic/melancholic perspective/point of view since the song talks about "time & distance".
The cover is a special art that represents how we can feel sometimes when we encounter these new feelings, we are aliens in that environment and situation but are extremely fascinated with the place, the feeling, and the unusual moments, the rising expectations and the arcade machine represents a time when one of the members felt like these in a local arcade center, an alien in the red planet finding something strange and precious, trying to understand it, adapt and finally get to meet her
