No Red Flags was released by Independent Voice after the band Hobnail had split up. The producer writes on the album cover "…these tracks deserve to be heard and for that reason we have put them on CD". Hobnail had produced a demo cassette-tape with ten tracks, and it is these 10 tracks that make up their band's "posthumous debut" album.
