Habaka is a 4 Octave International Classic BJ&G Vocalist, born in Nashville, TN to the legendary parents of Melvin Jackson saxophonist for the King of the Blues, B.B. King, and her mother Mary Ann Jackson was a jazz singer and dancer that traveled in the group of Elvis Presley. According to Living Blues Magazine-Wayne Goins quoted "All in all, it has to be said: the woman can really sing." Growing up in a house where the music was the gospel, it was just a matter of time that Habaka would find her way to the stage as a professional vocalist. Touring Europe for more than 20 years heading on some of the biggest blues stages, with Bo Diddley, Scott Henderson, Wilson Pickett, Kenny Neal, B.B. King, Sandra Hall, and Ana Popavic to name a few.

Heritage Blue was recorded in Italy with her Italian band "Shake Blues" along with other guests. James Boogaloo Bolden (former band leader for B.B. King) did a stellar performance along with his horn section of Eric Demmer (formerly with Gatemouth Brown) on Sax, and James Lamar Boulet. This CD is a homage to Habaka's legendary roots, with songs such as The Thrill Is Gone, I Put A Spell On You, Guess Who, to give you an idea. If you like Etta James then you need to take a good look at Habaka.
