From r/horsetheband: "The entire album is recorded with my lyrics and no keyboards. Nathan has "written some songs but without keys it's not my thing". So basically Lord Gold gallivanting through the European continent, pounding European pussy is what the hold up is. And I for one say, take your time Lord Gold, pound away so when you come back, you can pound harder on the keys. And that's it for today."
They can sell out and make a electro-swing/pop rock album and just have the lyrics to every song be a single "fuck the fans" copy and pasted digitally over and over again, and I'll buy the digital copy for $30 with the the dubstep remix EP for $15, if they just do one more US tour where they play everything other than said album and preferably came to Kansas City before quitting
Recently checked in on the official forums and yeah a lot of people are saying the same thing, huge relief that they're still playing US shows (or playing at all) Rumors of a new album on the way and new songs being performed live, very stoked!
"Not sure why they chose the most disgusting, shithole bar in the entire state of Michigan to play" If you think Mac's is the most disgusting bar in Michigan you haven't been to many bars, haven't lived in Michigan very long, or both. If anything I'd bet money it was the neckbearded video game crowd that came out to see them that made the place disgusting and smelly
Not sure why they chose the most disgusting, shithole bar in the entire state of Michigan to play, but somehow it worked. Through the sea of human scum and the rank stench of B.O. I saw HORSE the band in superior form. This is the first I've seen them since Dash left, and the new bassist has zero stage presence. Other than that they we're great. Drummer especially killed it. Highlight of the evening was a soul crushing performance of 'Manateen'
