Tristan Shorr is a composer and musician; who, at the age of 29, with no prior training or experience, decided to pursue a career in music. Six months later, he had self released an EP and accepted a place on a Music Composition MA at Goldsmiths University, London.
Shorr creates modern classical/neo-classical and experimental ambient music under the alias of Gideon Wolf. He has so far released 4 albums; Paper (Fluid/Audio/Fracture), I am Wolf (Chemical Tapes), Diagram (Time Released Sound), Near Dark (Fluid/Audio/Fracture), Year Zero (Fluid/Audio/Fracture) and (Aurora Borealis).
Tristan also runs a company called Art Of Disappearing with his partner based in Brighton, UK. AOD create immersive audio performance works for 2 people at a time on headphones with immersive sets, props, music and sound design. These works have been performed at venues throughout the UK including Brighton Festival curated by Laurie Anderson and V&A’s Museum of Childhood, London.
