No limit, but so far Ghostfriend enjoys practical, spiritual, creative and musical input from producers, artists and groups such as Krister Linder, KID 7, Aleah, Omnimotion, I Awake, Moist, Yogini, Tara Devi, Illuminum and Xerxes. These units are in no way exclusively bound to Ghostfriend. Neither can all of their music be said to represent Ghostfriend. But these Souls are in some way contributing to the GF project and furthering its spirit.
Singer and producer Krister Linder has been putting out music since the late eighties, but has been making it anything but simple to track him down. He has released numerous projects and consistently changed pseudonym for almost each one.
In the nineties his voice and lyrics featured three albums with swedish group DIVE. Brittish singer Sarah Brightman discovered and covered their song, Captain Nemo, and has since then released it on both single, album, best-of album and live album. In 1994 Mr. Linder began to produce instrumental works for limited editions on small labels. He put out electronic music under names like Tupilaq, Yeti, Society, Illuminum, Godkingpriest and Solaroid. He has also made several vocal guest-appearances on others' tracks and collaborated with Cari Lekebusch, Peter Benish, Cotton Ferox, Omnimotion and Vacuum.
Today, twelve years after DIVE, Krister Linder summons his spirits and gather his friends under the banner of Ghostfriend. Ghostfriend is both a label and a posse. We are an intimate circle of close friends with a conviction that ambient music is a safe haven, a refuge in the midst of our noisy, hectic modern society. It's an atmosphere for those who chose to be at rest, focused and vibrantly present in a day and age of tremendous unsettlement. Ghostfriend wishes to focus on a calm, loving and benevolent force in music, and aims at no less than a soundtrack for the urban Jedi, the modern knight. "Moist", the opening track on , is Ghostfriend's first official release, filled with warmth and love from the deep forests of rural Sweden.
