"Parisienne Walkways" is a song written by Irish musicians Phil Lynott and Gary Moore (both of Thin Lizzy) that features on Moore's 1978 album "Back on the Streets". Released as a single, it reached number 8 in the UK Singles Chart in May 1979. With vocals (and bass) by Thin Lizzy frontman Lynott, drums by Thin Lizzy drummer Brian Downey, and classic guitar solos from Moore, it became Moore's signature song. The melody of the song is based on the jazz standard "Blue Bossa" by Kenny Dorham. Moore continued to play the song as an encore at concerts throughout his career.
