“It’s your favorite foreign movie,” the hook lyric from some old song was stuck in my mind’s ear. An internet search led me to the song title, which led me to the band name, which led me to my dad’s CD collection. I spent the winter of 2005 fascinated by A Decade of Steely Dan. I am not a “classic rock” or “jazz fusion” enthusiast per se, but I have an affinity for interesting music in any genre.
