From These Ruins sparked some hope for the musically eclectic town of Terre Haute, IN back in 2011, when the band's powerful rock anthem "Brotherhood" invaded the scene. With the release of their debut EP in May 2012, this hard-hitting 5 piece is just warming up. Pulling from such influences as, Bullet for My Valentine, Demon Hunter and RED, to name a few; From These Ruins has found and defined a dynamic balance of aggressive passion, melodic vocals, groove-heavy drums and grinding guitars – creating their unique style and sound, with it being described as ‘Nu-Metal’.

Childhood friends Rusty Sparks (vocals) and Jeff Garloch (guitar) started this project with a drum machine and a dream in late 2009, and it wasn’t until the spring of 2010 when Chad Anderson (drums/vocals) and Robert ‘Oskar’ Myers (bass) joined the endeavour with the addition of Timothy Hartman (guitar) a few short months later, completing the lineup.

With tornado sirens blasting in the background, FTR recorded their 2 song demo in the middle of one of the worst storms that came through the area in decades. Taking breaks only to take cover from the inclamate weather, the band finished their recording and began playing shows right away.

The quintet immediately attracted a large local following, with crowds continuously growing and attending their hometown gigs as a result of diligent self-promotion and energetic live performances. From These Ruins consistently blows every crowd away with their stage antics and a sense of professionalism most bands take years to perfect. This band's energy and overall stage presence is addictive to say the least.

In support of their debut release, From These Ruins will be expanding their fanbase outside of the local area with a focus on the midwest in 2012 with a rigerous show schedule and the desire to play any rock show they can be a part of.

"We are excited for the present here in our hometown of Terre Haute, IN and also in our future, where we can bring our message to the masses.” Rusty stated.
