I grew up on this album, among others. I rate it as highly influential on my rock and roll life. If I'd grown up listening to the Beatles instead, who knows where I would have ended up.
This album is powerful, sublime, soulful, atmospheric, you name it. It's one of, if not the, best album Fleetwood Mac ever made. My favorites also include Peter' Green's Fleetwood Mac, Street Corner Talking and Jack the Toad.
The Peter Green - Jeremy Spencer and the Christine Perfect/McVie - Danny Kirwin versions of the band remain my all time favorites.
Love this album. Great blues, humor, and introspective music. When I think of Fleetwood Mac this is the music that comes to mind. A few later albums have songs with this flavor in them, but nothing like this. A must have for blues enthusiasts.
To finish the prevoius shout: The Danny Kirwan songs on that album (Bare Trees) breathe out the same atmosphere as the songs he wrote for this album. (Coming Your Way, My Dream, Although the Sun Is Shining, When You Say & Like Crying)

Not really. This is the only album with Peter Green and Danny Kirwan as the main characters of the band. The sound is quite unique.
