also the 17th of april is international bat appreciation day which is very sweet considering ladies' lyrics refer to fruit bats <3

I absolutely love this album. This is quite possibly her best written album with some of my favorite lyrics from her by far paired with the music which is her at her most unique and experimental makes for an unforgettable experience. It's truly unbelievable how good this is and how much of an impact it left on me the first time I heard it which I'll always remember.

this album hits so fucking hard — 100 scrobbles in and I’ve only just started to really appreciate most of it

Honestly a very diverse album, none of these songs really sound like the last but they're all so classically her. she really cooked here

While i don't really listen to this kind of music often i really appreciate how this album is recorded, very intimate and raw sounding often, which is nice to hear.

messy fa***ts saying this album didn’t resonate as much clearly weren’t there during those first claustrophobic peak pandemic months when no one knew how to react and were locked up in their houses unemployed, and most others fearing for their relatives lives, this album WAS THERE for me and it helped me and other through those rough moments ❤️🔥

Amazing and very personal as well as original, but imho not as good as The Idler Wheel.

let's put in perspective some things: fiona don't allow none of her songs to be available on tiktok for example, as soon as some songs of hers started trending there, she removed all of them because she found it annoying to see her work on silly fancams and on dance trends (tiktok is giving people careers, it's relevant nowdays and some artists are making songs just thinking how it can blow on tiktok) > fiona rarely allow people to sample her songs or use them in series or movies. she says no most of the times > fiona don't promote her music, she didn't do television, awards and none of that, she was nominated for aoty at the grammys and she didn't even went to the ceremony. she just dropped this album and acted like it was just another normal day in her life, and didn't even talked about it too much after dropping it. so "cultural relevance" can only go as far as how much the artist is invested in generating conversation, and she is not. other than that, this still a great album!
