Three years ago Matias Jensen and Jens Flinch met each other in highschool both showing a great interest in music. Matias had just started up playing ska music together with some other guy and Jens soon joined to sing. After a few weeks the drummer happened to meet another guitarplayer Andreas Refsgaard and asked him to gather in the band. By recommendation the four guys got in contact with Aske Thomas Neye and luckily he was game on the bass. Farrago was now formed! The sound quickly moved away from ska and turned into the many borders of rock music. The drummer backed out of the projekt but after some jams the new member appeared: Benjamin (tight motherf…) Kaasing. Now the energy between these young men really showed up. The nerve was found! Many a night Farrago rehearsed, everything tightned up and the tunes constantly got better. The first demo was made in the summer 2005 and I "Want It Out" turned out to be very popular amongst the local audience. It showed that Farrago had the ability and strenght to touch other people. The last 6 months the band has started up playing many succesfull jobs and they are now ready to face the hard competition on the big rock stages in DK.
2. Techno producer with a resonant body and soul.
Farrago surfaces as a new name on the Belgian techno scene albeit with a familiar face. In 2013 Sam Deliaert formerly known as Talbot Wood was picked up by compatriots Jorn and Tom - from Other Heights and Curle Recordings respectively - under who's flag he played multiple showcases and live shows across Europe throughout '13 & '14.
The name change is motivated by the meaning of the word itself. Farrago, literally 'a perplexing mixture', is the alignment and legacy of his earlier work merged with new ideas and recent development.
Arpeggiated melodies reverberating endlessly to the point where they are deemed tangible driven by the resonating sound of a classic 4/4 kickdrum. It's the perfect marriage between body and soul.
For now, preparing a live performance built around the Octatrack - the beating heart of the setup - is his main priority. Meanwhile though, some of the more captivating patterns and synthesis from his other Elektron unit, the Analog Four, have already found their way through a recording device. This preceded a connection with ARTS, a young but already quite established Berlin based techno label, home to the likes of Dax J, Keith Carnal, Inigo Kennedy, Shlømo and il capitano: Emmanuel.
