1) Hailing from Bilbao, Fania recorded her first work in 1987 for the Spanish label "Grabaciones Accidentales", the mini album was arranged and produced by Suso Sáiz, Tino di Geraldo and Pedro Estevan. The tracks were sophisticated with funk and new age influences.
Two years later, in 1989, she would release a longer production which was produced by Suso Sáiz again, the pop/rock album also featured a cover of Carole King's "You've Got a Friend".

2) Fania is a singer-songwriter from Senegal who lives in Paris. She was one of the singers in the group Kaoma, famous for its 1989 hit 'Lambada'. She has released two solo albums: Sopi (2000) and Naturel (2004). Fania sings in several West-African languages. Her website is (in French).
