I used to have Vesa as a music programming teacher nine years ago. I can't believe how time flies. I remember him talking about Evocation to me and my buddy who were metalheads already back then, and they were just getting re-started, kind of. Then about a year later, I read in the local papers that they were releasing Tales From The Tomb and it was so cool, as we both had just got into early 90's death metal like Dismember and Entombed.

My favourite period is old death metal one. However, their mdm is good as well, pretty modern sounding, but not the worst variation of it.

The only complaint I have with this new album is that it sounds a little "too clean" for old school death metal. Anyway, it's a killer release. Hope they'll finally get the recognization they deserve with it.
