I'll use these images (taken from Simone Kopmajer's gallery) as a visual guide to show how your original artist pics will end up looking as library images. It works on the idea that cropping images square or tall - if your original shots allow this - really is the safer option, as they minimize further cropping when your images are processed. Shown below are three sample images, in square, tall, and wide formats, and beside them the actual 126s images used for the library. The translucent red masking shows where image content will be lost (or hidden from view, rather), and the window is what you'll end up with in the library:

Now this isn't your typical yearly chart; as my listening habits don't follow strict year boundaries, I decided to make a top 50 of the music I discovered in 2005 rather than music that was released during the year. Seems to make more sense somehow. OK, on with it.
TOP 50 SONGS I LISTENED TO IN 2005
If only all house sounded like this. This track's got everything: chunky beat, wonky bassline, fantastic vocals and a distinctly old school feel.
Amazing, awe-inspiring drum & bass madness. I created the tag "jump up and down like a goon" for this kind of stuff. Probably the most energetic track I've ever heard.
These Swedish synthpop girls get absolutely everything right on this track from their Go! album. Perfect pop.
Joyous track from Dutch producer of traditionalist but oh so stylish Detroit techno. Fantastic piano chords...
