"Chantons Les Louanges" is a French Christmas carol (known in Trinidad as Creche) that was brought to Trinidad by French aristocrats fleeing the 18th. century French Revolution. It has survived as part of the Trinidadian cultural archives, but seems to have disappeared from French culture. Other songs of similar origin are "Su Su Berger" and "Chantons Noel".
