Meet Enerate. Four lovely people by the names of Josh, Matt, Ben and T. One fateful day in 2011 the four bumped into each other - as a result of a series of critical, instantaneous walking errors and decided to make synth-driven melodic acoustic pop together. And thus a generation danced.
Enerate splashed on to the scene in 2012, dropping their first charming video single 'Unstoppable'. The boys and girl tinker with a glorious array of synthetic electro sounds, and fuse them with lively organic rhythms and a knack for honest pop song writing.
Bound by a love of gangsta hip hop, good times and Paul Kelly, the group have enjoyed early success in their first year, with 'Unstoppable' spinning on Triple J Unearthed digital radio, and the music video premiering in prime time on ABC TV's RAGE program.
2012 brought Enerate's unique brand of synth pop to the live circuit, touring the east coast, and since making some iconic rooms bounce, such as The Standard, Oxford Art Factory and FBi Social in Sydney.
Known for their vibrant on-stage energy, and video art show, it's not easy to forget a performance by Enerate.
Over the summer, Enerate brought us their brand new single 'I Think I Love'. Driving jungle rhythms and colourful synths pepper the song, with an infectious chorus that is impossible not to sing along to.
The new video for 'I Think I Love' is being launched on the 27th February at The Hellen Rose-Schauersberger LabOratorium in Surry Hills.
Enerate are currently in preproduction for their forthcoming debut EP "Good Times Airlines"©
