Der Ex-Kraftwerk-Musiker Karl Bartos schlägt Lieder der Beatles lieber in einem Notenbuch nach. Denn nur auf dem Papier kann er sie "gerade noch verkraften." Komisch. Denn er ist doch als gefühlskalter Roboter in die Musikgeschichte eingegangen. Oder? Ein Interview.

Karl Bartos, 51, schrieb als langjähriges Mitglied der Gruppe „Kraftwerk“ Musikgeschichte. 1991 verließ er die künstlerisch erstarrte Formation, um sich Soloprojekten zu widmen. Seine neue CD „Communication“ erscheint am 8. September bei Sony. Karl Bartos lebt mit der Journalistin Bettina Michael in Hamburg.

esperanto album it closes a gap between kraftwerk records.
karl isn't just the soul of kraftwerk melodies, his at the
time innovative vocal snippet technique was a logical next
step to take, and "overdrive" is techno in a kraftwerkish way!
