"Eddie Head and His Family" was a vocal gospel trio driven by tambourine and insistent east-coast guitar. They have an almost hillbilly flavour to their songs like numerous other south-eastern black groups. They recorded a few songs round 1930 like "Lord I'm The True Vine" (also recorded by Blind Gary Davis), and "Tryin' To Get Home" (also by Willie McTell from his 1940 Library Of Congress session).
