I have albums of around 57 post-punk bands, but my absolute favourite bass guitar sound is in Show Of Strength. It sounds as if rainwater is stuck in the bass guitar. The whole Heaven Up Here album is one of my 5 most favourite november albums. I can only listen to it when it rains or when I'm sure there's no sun as long as I listen to it.

I hate the character limit...
"this band is awfully boring, though their debut album is a great post-punk record and deserves the attention" hahahah I like Crocodiles but it's the weakest out of the first four. Heaven Up Here is darker and more textured, Ocean Rain is more majestic and grand, and Porcupine is a balance between those two.
Heaven Up here is an awesome album. What an atmosphere. One of those albums that makes you wish to be in england somewhere at the sea or countryside in autumn. There are quite a few other post-punk bands that do the same to me like Opposition (on "Breaking The Silence"), Sad Lovers and Giants (on "The Mirror Test") and The Chameleons ("Script Of The Bridge"). It's all great stuff.
