Dukus Alemay & Bill Carter formed 'Dukus Is Dead' in 2006 but the name only came into fruition in 2009. They were performing under the name 'Dead Rabbit' which originally included former member vocalist Sus from Backyard Bully who went on to produce & release his own projects. Sus still features on some of tracks under the 'Dukus Is Dead' umbrella.

By combining ambient instrumental, trip hop, electronic, breakbeat backdrops to acoustic driven tracks fused with abstract harmonizing vocals aswell as rhyming, Dukus is Dead has managed to encapsulate their influences into an original form of music that instantly captivates musicians and listeners alike.

The group thrives on coming up with edgy but simple enough subject matters whether it be political, persuasive or personal, which enhance the feeling you get after hearing one of their songs…from a soldier's story calling out the government…to a song with glistening harmonies, the music has a mature feel that meets the expectation of what people would like to hear on the radio and on-stage.

Zane Lowe,Jo Whiley,Tim Westwood & Edith Bowman have all played their music at some stage on their shows.
Their song writing, production and performance credits include:
