1) Down the Line, a 4-piece group started in 2001 in Chicago by Levi Britton, Derek Fawcett, Dan Myers, and Dave Rothkopf. They use mostly acoustic instruments such as guitar, mandolin, violin, harmonica and djembe, along with an electric bass. In 2008, Down The Line released the much-anticipated Home Alive, a live album culled from their stint as “artists in residence” on the renowned hometown stage at Schubas Tavern. The residency was reviewed in UR Chicago Magazine as “a meticulous yet carefree performance…one of the most exuberant I have seen.”(Cory Robertson) Home Alive features original material from Down The Line’s three studio discs: For All You Break (2007), Please Remember My Name (2005) and Welcome To Flavortown (2002).
2) Down the Line is an Italian grindcore/crust band founded at the end of 2000 by ANTO (vox) and ANDRE(bass). The initial project was to play some heavy and pissed-off hardcore music, something that would represent the immense anger and frustration that is felt having to deal with today's political, economic and social problems.Of corse DTL needed a guitar player and soon NICHOLAS (former member of ABIURA) joined the band, shortly followed by IL FODDE (from WORSTENEMY) as a temporary drummer. With this line up,the band started writing some new material. Then, after a couple of rehearsals,IL FODDE left the band due to work-related issues and ANTO decided to play DTL drum parts and get someone else as the new band's shooter.Unfortunately,a year passed by in search of a new vocalist. Finally Zobo arrived (former member of GABBIA DELLE PAZZE).
During 2003 and 2004, DTL had a lot of rehearsal-room changes and also some line-up problems:first of all NICHOLAS left the band after the first DTL demo-cd recordings sessions and some time later , ANDREA also decided to quit for reasons still unknown today. NICHOLAS was immediately replaced by ALDO-TRASHINGMAD on guitars while some weeks after ANDREA's departure,IL GATTO (ex GABBIA DELLE PAZZE's bass player) joined the band as the new bass player.
