Anyone got an idea what happened to Thomas Stock's project "EYAS"? Can't find anything about it. If anyone out there got any idea what Thomas does today or how I could possibly contact him, please let me know.
their later material is too weird for me to digest. their ambient/black metal/folk stuff is good, but I think for them doing neofolk Jochen's voice is beyond David Tibetan levels of unlistenability. Its like he's molesting my ears.
For those of you, who are really sad, that "Freiheit" was Dornenreichs last album for a while, I highly recommend the band "Munarheim", wich I recently discovered: http://www.lastfm.de/music/Munarheim?ac=munarheim Their album "Nacht und Stürme werden Licht" is just an incredible record! Check it out, if you love Dornenreich! (And no, I am not a member or promoter of this band :D)
Das neue Album ist wirklich gut geworden, für mich eines Ihrer besten. Generell ist für mich die Reihenfolge: 1. Hexenwind, 2. Durch den Traum, 3. Freiheit, 4. In Luft geritzt 5. Herr von Welken Nächten, 6. Bitter ists dem Tod zu dienen, 7. Nicht um zu sterben, 8. Flammentriebe. Das neue Album erinnert stellenweise auch an Angizia, vor allem an Kokon, dem ganzen lieg teine ähnliche Stimmung/Leidenschaft zu grunde.
While listening to "Freiheit", all I could think of is how seemingly every freshman is blatantly scrubbing his newly bought guitar while trying to be the next musical sensation...
Also some riffs seem to be directly taken from "In Luft geritzt".
The violin parts are uninteresting, so are the metal parts ...
