Monuments' front man on sax for this show... Jazz meets metal, who knew! They were pretty amazing "Coltrane Style", very unique, a performance I'll never forget.
Devin Townsend pulled some great tracks out of his back catalog - opening with Regulator. War and Bad Devil were lively performances, and Grace hit home square in the jaw. Devin proves again that the best Canadian performers are punctual, intelligent, profound, and hilarious.
I can't do enough justice to Animals As Leaders. I wasn't very familiar with their work going in to the show, but they put up a solid performance that demonstrated their mastery of technicality. I've got some homework to go back and really grok the work they do.
Added bonus: the Delusions of Grandeur street team was outside the door after the show, and I scored a free copy of Reclamation. Great up and comers out of the Three Rivers.
