deadbeat totally sold out over the years. i LOVED the early records with the echoes, atmosphere, total dub vibe......but every time he releases something new, it sounds more and more generic and 'dank dank dank' unimaginative techno......what a shame.
i was a little harsh in my last comment... the album is very well produced, and some of the tracks are really damn heavy. but i dunno, it just lacks that special 'deadbeat' flavour. i feel like they could have been made by any number of dubstep/bass/dub producers, almost.
FutureEverything is delighted to be working alongside Montreal’s MUTEK festival to present the opening party for FutureEverything 2012. Hosted in one of the hippest, bohemian haunts in the city (Salford’s Islington Mill) this late night event features a live set from Deadbeat and Andy Stott.
