Johan Börjesson, also known as Daxten, is a Swedish musician who was born and raised near the small town of Varberg in the south west of Sweden. During the 4th grade he began learning to play the guitar, which formed the basis of his affinity with music. Throughout high school he continued this, but diversified his interest by studying music production for two years (the combination of these two interests is prevalent in much of his work).
In a massive contrast to his school life, Johan started working full-time as a welder after completing his education, which only allowed him time to spend one day a week on his music. However, after five years he decided to dedicate 100% of his efforts to it, subsequently moving to Stockholm, renting a studio and devoting each day to music production. Since then he has made great strides in the genre of Tropical House, which he loves because it “has a lot of energy in the drops and choruses, but still a laid back feel to everything”. In 2017, he released both his debut EP - Make It Rain which includes the hit track All Of Us and his debut album - You Got Me, later following these with the EP - Flawless. Despite achieving more than four million collective streams on Spotify, Johan has insisted that his favourite tracks are still on the horizon. Patience world.
