"Andy Warhol" is a song written by British musician David Bowie originally for singer Dana Gillespie when Gillespie provided backing vocals on the recording of "It Ain't Easy" in July 1971 for Bowie's album "Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars". Recorded by Gillespie in 1971 (featuring Mick Ronson on guitar), her version was not released until 1973 on her album "Weren't Born a Man".
