This song is so interesting. I mean, it's obvious that Human After All is all about consumerism and a technology/media-saturated society, the growing mechanisation of daily life (hence the realisation, we are human, after all). I like to think Daft Punk instil subtle meaning into their songs, and so, the reason this song is so disturbing to listen to is because it's A BABY singing, who already knows so much about technology - which has been a weird phenomenon we've seen all the time since the early 2000's, kids who know how to talk to computers, like a natural language. People don't like this song because the nature of it is that it is supposed to make you uncomfortable. I can totally understand what Daft Punk said when they responded to this album's criticism: "we think Human After All speaks for itself."
