Yesterday, exactly 2 years ago I saw my favorite band for the first time in concert. For me one of the greatest concert experiences so far. They were in fabulous form and gave a very intense performance which still gives me chills. :-)
However, this short snippet of About Today is not a sudden throwback cause it reminds me of how stupid I was the day before. I made one awkward and thoughtless mistake which pushes my penpal friend away. More or less for good. Well of course we all have people we don't talk to anymore, but in this case I lost touch with someone who has had a major influence on my musical development. Moreover, she had also a significant impact on my bookshelf. If I could, I would tell her I'm still thankful for that. I felt she was someone who could be a real friend, but I guess it was not meant to be. Luckely, I'm over it for a quite a long time now and my life has definitely improved since then. But for all that, I feel like I had to tell this story.
