Cindy Dickenson was the voice of a South-African group called People Like Us who had a hit song 'Deliverance' in 1987. Born in the UK, she came came to South Africa and got signed with RPM Records. She released her first single ‘Love Stealer’, with ‘You make me fee like a women’ on the B-side which won a Sarie Award (South African equivalent to the Grammies). She later joined the group Syndicate, with band member Peps Cotummaccio with whom she toured Cape Town, Europe and Mexico. She was also a singer for the Harry Bence Orchestra and performed with them on the passenger cruise ship the QE2 for six months.
