For me one of the best qualities music can have is that it sounds like nothing I've ever heard before. A lot of my favorite albums (Dose and Latin Playboys by the Latin Playboys, Sorry in Pig Minor by the Cows, Levitate by The Fall, etc.) fit this criteria perfectly, and so do pretty much all of the albums Damon Edge and Helios Creed made together in Chrome. Half Machine Lip Moves is one of their very best, and it's also one of the best albums of its (or any other) time. And to give you some idea of what high regard I hold these guys in, Half Machine Lip Moves isn't even my favorite Chrome record. God, I love this band.

Such an odd looking album cover. It reminds me of a really strange horror movie from the 80's or early 90's that I would see on the movie racks in some rental joint (as a child). I like it though, it's got a nostalgic quality. This band is brilliant, it's a shame I just discovered their music.
